Be Resilient | Sometimes You Have to Slow Down
Share
Hi everyone,
It’s been a little quieter than usual around here lately, and there’s a simple reason for that — I’ve been sick.
For the past few weeks, I haven't been able to give Be Resilient the same energy I normally do. There haven't been as many journal posts, behind-the-scenes updates, or new things to share.
And I'll admit, slowing down isn't always easy for me.
When you're building something you care deeply about, there's always another thing you could be doing. Another post to write. Another design to work on. Another idea to chase.
But sometimes your body makes the decision for you.
And strangely enough, it reminded me of something I've written about before:
Rest is part of resilience too.
Resilience doesn't always look like pushing through.
Sometimes it looks like cancelling your plans. Sleeping a little longer. Leaving something unfinished. Giving yourself permission to say, this can wait until tomorrow.
So that's what I've been doing.
Things haven't stopped behind Be Resilient. The Journey Collection is still taking shape, the fall pieces are coming together, and there are some things I'm really excited to share with you when I'm feeling more like myself again.
But for now, I'm taking my own advice.
And if you've been going through a season where you haven't been able to accomplish everything you think you should, maybe you need the same reminder I did:
Slowing down doesn't mean you're giving up.
Sometimes it's simply part of continuing.
Thank you for sticking around through the busy weeks and the quiet ones. I'm grateful you're here for all of it — not just the polished parts.
Until next Sunday,
Keep choosing tomorrow.
